This debate tonight could not be more important .
Kamala must be the best she has ever been. She has got the hardest job on the planet tonight. He can be an undisciplined, babbling, cruel animal which could work in her favor, but it won’t be enough. She has to be almost perfect. I underestimated her on the eve of her DNC speech and she was brilliant. This is very different. I pray she has the chops, the patience and the discipline, because in the entire span of time that this grand experiment has been an active republic, never has anyone been more of a threat to the future of it than Donald Trump. And the main stream media not reporting his babbling fascism clearly and in a straightforward manner should terrify you. Sound dramatic or hyperbolic? (more below the graphic)

Past politicians have absolutely tried to undermine our democracy.
Founding Father and 2nd President John Adams, criminalized dissent and sought to prosecute his critics. This included the press. Newspaper editors found themselves facing prison for their words. *Certainly not a fear shared by our current mainstream media.
The 1876 election saw the highest voter turnout of any in U.S. history (82%) and after a wild ride with seemingly countless instances of questionable electoral practices across several states, the election was decided by a single electoral vote-the count which was provided by Republican-controlled “returning” boards.
Andrew Johnson, the ultimate “flip-flopper” who as Lincoln’s VP was a champion of reconstruction but after becoming president, Johnson changed (or revealed) his views as his white supremacy and his personal racism resurfaced. He believed African Americans were an inferior race unfit to govern themselves and others, and he expected the Southern states to be readmitted into the Union and white Southerners to resume their dominance over blacks. This about face caused chaos within the Congress and country right on through to his impeachment for "high crimes and misdemeanors”.
America has never been the idyllic wonderland many of us as young school age Americans read about in civics classes and saw in the handful of representational, one dimensional art. That is a snapshot. A PR campaign. Inspiring and worthy, but not the whole story. A lot of shit went down and continues to go down, but all of that being said, we are a strong and living democracy and Trump is still the biggest danger. Ever. He is saying every day that he will take over and be a dictator on Day 1. He has zero respect for the bones and heart of this republic and will disregard our constitution. That’s not my opinion, it’s fact based on his own words and actions. His followers are cult-like and his loudest supporters have been PROVEN to be puppets of Putin’s. Literally being paid to push ANTI-AMERICAN agendas. He incited an actual insurrection. He refused to participate in the peaceful transition of power and only LAST WEEK admitted that he lost the 2020 election. There is more, but I have Trumpitis and we can discuss more after this debate is over.
Some of the lies to expect tonight:
He isn’t involved in Project 2025. There are an endless stream of ties to him. It is 900 pages of autocracy and the removal of democratic freedom. Basically The Handmaid’s Tale. Yes, really.
He’ll protect social security and medicare Just look at his record with these while in the White House. This is a flat out pandering lie.
He’ll blame Kamala for the Border, when he absolutely flexed his power and influenced how Republicans voted for the strongest border bill of late after stating: "It's not going to happen, and I'll fight it all the way"
Migrants are not eating pets.
Doctors are not murdering newborn babies.
No one at schools is doing transition surgery on kids.
Nobody is taking away your gas stove. You will not be forced to drive an EV.
Never forget the chaotic and scrappy beginnings of this republic, and never forget how powerful YOU are in this scenario. Your vote is your voice. Please use it well.
