We hate this situation. We’ve hated it for some time now. The feral felon or the good man and fine American politician past his prime. Lousy choices. This grand experiment of democracy deserves better. WE deserve better.
Dirty Moderate, the podcast was born out of not having been satisfied with either party. We believe the future is somewhere in the middle. To for example, couple the conservative fiscal approach of the right with the left’s championing of personal freedoms, like the right to marry whomever you love and to be able to handle your own body in the way you see fit. Clearly that’s overly simplified, but what seemed like a straight road to the middle 2.5 years ago when we began, has become a twisted and unclear path to potentially nowhere, fraught with danger and chaos as both parties struggle to figure out who they want to be when they grow up.
The “right” is no longer one solid entity. The core democracy loving conservatives, committed to the country who bravely denounced Trump and his autocratic nightmare like Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Joe Walsh, Steve Schmidt, Mike Madrid, Reed Galen, and that crowd, are all lifelong conservatives who saw Trump and his MAGAites for what they were and said oh hell, no. They are in the same party as the MAGA mess and their rabid, racist, ridiculous, dangerous agenda.
These people cannot agree. This is not sustainable!
Taking the best who we are as a country and coming together in the middle to find a way to deliver what is best for this country is currently an impossibility. It cant even be done within one party, let alone both. The Dems have their own charming, anti-American, Jew-hating subset. If you can’t even agree that you support America-the country you have been elected to be an integral part of the structure of (yes, you, Ilhan and your despicable pals) -then how the hell can the idea of connecting with the “other side of the aisle” even come in to play?
Biden is not the only issue. But folks, he’s not up for the job. And that’s OK. He served his country throughout his lifetime. Through tragedy and hardship, he maintained his commitment to America and did some really positive things in the
50+ years he spent in Washington. We even think he was a good president! Infastructure and more. But he is not up for this next round. We need MORE. Advise the next nominee, Joe. Campaign the hell out of them. Stand with Obama and Clinton and cheer for the next chapter in America’s life because if you don’t, we will be afraid to cheer and support democracy under the tyranny and kingship of Donald Trump. It’s that simple.
So what should next steps be? We want to hear from you on this. Share your thoughts on Biden staying in the race and/or what moves the Dems should make by commenting on this post! Thanks for being on the road to the 24 election with us!
Stay dirty, stay moderate, and stay safe.
